Selectmen approve police grant, speed table; Garden Club seeks expanded role in town landscaping

NH DUNBARTON — Dunbarton selectmen approved a $5,300 police highway safety grant and authorized $2,500 for a speed table at Stark Highway. Board Chair Michael Kaminski, Vice Chair Dana Lavoie, and Selectman Charles Frost voted unanimously on the police grant, which covers October 2026 through September 2027 with matching departmental vehicle funds. The board also backed the Dunbarton Garden Club's expanded role maintaining town landscaped areas around the library, bandstand, and memorials, granting permission to remove dead or diseased plants.
Separately, the board tabled action on a revised Library Trustees MOU pending development of an after-hours on-call roster to relieve Library Director Mary Girard of sole emergency call responsibility.
