Selectmen approve fuel pump repair, swear in police officer, debate cannon firing

NH DUNBARTON — Selectmen appoint Jacob Davies as patrolman and approve $1,787.35 Highway Garage repair. The board unanimously accepted $4,252.24 in Fire Fighters Association donations for emergency equipment, including CPR training manikins and a UTV winch, and appointed Patrick Wright and Zachary Marcou as deputy Forest Fire Wardens. Board Chair Michael Kaminski expressed safety and educational concerns about a proposed Molly Stark cannon firing at an elementary school 250th anniversary event, citing hearing damage risk and lack of educational benefit; the board deferred decision pending School Board input and expert consultation.
The board also unanimously hired Natalie Pelham-Starkey as Building Planning and Zoning Administrator at $29.37 per hour, effective May 4, 2026.
